The University of Reading is one of the top twenty research-intensive universities in the UK. The Intelligent Media Systems & Services Research Laboratory (IMSS, www.imss.reading.ac.uk ) is an internationally well-established and dynamic group with a large and expanding portfolio of EU/DTI/MoD/EPSRC-funded research projects in
strategic Computer Science and ICT fields and involving close alliances with world-class academic and industrial players in the UK and globally. IMSS Research is pushing forward the frontiers of innovation in advanced model-driven and service-oriented semantic-cognitive architectures as underpinned by agent technologies, middleware, ambient intelligence, and, multi-modal interfaces including virtual/augmented reality to realise and formally validate smart and secure environments. We are offering to self-motivated individuals with research leadership
experience, the opportunity to work within a highly creative team, enjoy international collaborative research and present their work at centres of excellence in Europe and beyond.
