PhD Studentship in Cognitive Vision - University of Leeds

PhD Studentship in Cognitive Vision School of ComputingWe are one of the leading Engineering faculties in the UK, with five academic departments, all of which were rated either 5 or 5 in the 2001Research Assessment Exercise.

Applications are invited for a fixed-term Research PhD, to be based in theSchool of Computing. You will have a primary expertise in computer vision,knowledge representation and reasoning (in particular ontologies,qualitative spatial representations), or symbolic learning and preferablymore than one of these. You will join a large and vibrant research team towork on a new European Union Framework 7 Cognitive System funded researchproject investigating robust behaviour analysis using knowledgerepresentation techniques and machine learning.
