Sampoerna Foundation – Teacher Institute cordially invites Principals and Teachers, and Educationist on our ENGAGING ICT FORN LEARNING (WEB QUEST).
Information, Communication and Technology (ICT) has been an inseparable & an integral part of daily activities, including teaching and learning. The use of educational software and the internet has become a common practice for many teachers, and there are many more ICT features to be used for this purpose.
Problem-Based Learning (PBL) has been used by teachers to accommodate learning process in real-life situations, hence increasing the learning outcomes of the students. WebQuest uses similar concepts of PBL, hence makes teaching and learning to be more interesting and engaging for both teachers and students.
This workshop aims to equip teachers with the skills to create WebQuest to facilitate the different learning abilities of students, thus students can manage the learning processes at their own pace and therefore resulted in higher learning outcomes.
OBJECTIVES
Participants are able to implement strategies of using ICT to create interesting and engaging learning activities that also incorporate higher order thinking skills, in various subjects.

FACILITATOR
Mr. Obert Hoseanto, S..Kom., S.Si., MPd:
Obert completed his Bachelor Degrees in Computer Science and Mathematics from Universitas Bina Nusantara followed by a Master Degree in Education, majoring in Instructional Technology from Universitas Pelita Harapan. He has been a teacher and later become a Principal for Junior and Senior High School, all in National Plus Schools.
Afterwards, he obtained experience working at a company which deals with educational tools and has trained a number of teachers, as well as organizing national level competitions, before finally joining the team at SF TI. He’s delivered various ICT workshops for teachers and conducted research regarding ICT and teachers. Throughout his career, he has participated as presenter and moderator in various conferences and symposiums, both national and international level.
