We are seeking an enthusiastic bioinformatics specialist for our new Bioinformatics Core Facility at UMDNJ - New Jersey Medical School (http://njms.umdnj.edu). The successful candidate will have a key role in initiating and executing collaborative projects with investigators in a range of research fields. Qualified applicants should have a Ph.D. degree in bioinformatics/computational biology or a related field, with working knowledge of genome informatics and DNA microarray data analysis. Experience with next-generation sequencing data is a strong advantage. Title and rank will be commensurate with experience. The successful candidate will collaborate with wet bench scientists to elucidate gene regulatory mechanisms in several cardiac disease and aging models that are being intensively studied at the CardioVascular Research Institute (CVRI) of UMDNJ-New Jersey Medical School, a dynamic scientific community.
