The vacant positions are part of a unique national project "From problem district to power district: does the health of residents benefit?" — a collaborative programme between the AMC, Maastricht University and the National Institute for Public Health and the Environment. See link.

* with a MSc preferably in Health or Social Sciences.
* with excellent social skills
* who are highly motivated to conduct academic research and aspire to a PhD
* affiliated to health problems in low SES communities

The Faculty of Humanities and Sciences (FHS) at present consists of four departments: University College Maastricht (UCM), Maastricht ICT Competence Centre (MICC), Maastricht Graduate School of Governance (MGSoG) and the International Centre for Integrated assessment and Sustainable development (ICIS).
The School for Public health and Primary Care (CAPHRI) is part of the Faculty of Health, Medicine and Life sciences (FHML). CAPHRI facilitates research in the areas of health promotion, disease prevention and care. CAPRHI is a part of the KNAW acknowledged research schools of Care CaRe (Netherlands School of Primary Care Research) and WTMC (Science, Technology and Modern Culture).
This study will be conducted in close collaboration between three organisations, AMC (Amsterdam), RIVM (Bilthoven) and Maastricht University, either in Amsterdam (position 1) or Maastricht (position 2 and 3).

Conditions of employment
Maximum salary amount in Euro's a month 2612
Employment basis: Temporary for specified period
Duration of the contract: 48 maanden
Maximum hours per week: 38
Additional conditions of employment:
We offer a full-time PhD-position for 4 years, contingent on a satisfactory performance. Monthly salary starts at € 2,042.- and is expected to increase to € 2,612.-.
