Positions
We invite applications for two open positions in the new machine learning group at Saarland University, Saarbruecken, Germany.
* Postdoc Position
The research area is the analysis of data (supervised and unsupervised learning) from several sources in particular video and audio data. The succesful candidate should have a PhD in computer science or a related field and a strong publication record in machine learning. Programming experience in C++ or MATLAB is required. The postdoc position is initially for one year but can be extended.
* Ph.D. Position The topic of the PhD will be the development and theoretical analysis of machine learning methods for structured input and output data. The applicant should have a degree (diploma or master) in computer science, mathematics or physics. The position requires a solid background in mathmatics in particular linear algebra, probability and statistics and strong analytical skills. A background in machine learning is appreciated but not necessarily required. Programming experience in C++ or MATLAB is required.
