Postdoc position for spectroscopy of ZnO: Karlsruhe
Firma/Institution: Universität Karlsruhe, Institut für Angewandte Physik
Land: Germany Position: PhD Position
eingegangen am:07/01/2008
Beschreibung:
The Institute for Applied Physics at the Universität Karlsruhe (TH) has an opening for a Postdoc position in the research group of Profs. H. Kalt and C.Klingshirn starting February 2008 or later.
The research field is Optical Spectroscopy and Growth of ZnO with a particular focus on nanorods and quantum-well structures. Experimental techniques include linear, non-linear, temporally resolved and spatially resolved spectroscopy. The goals of the investigations are to determine general optical properties and to elaborate the possible applications of ZnO hetero- and nano-structures in optoelectronic devices like nanolasers and hybrid solar cells.
The project is embedded in a cooperation with various other research groups (growth, characterization etc.) e.g. within the Competence Network 'Functional Nanostructures' of the Landesstiftung Baden-Württemberg.
The position includes teaching duties e.g. in advanced lab courses for Physics students. Good German and/or English language skills are therefore obligatory.
