PhD Bursary in Operational Research (OR)

The Operational Research and Management Sciences group of Warwick Business School is pleased to announce one PhD bursary in Operational Research worth up to £12,000 per year, for a period of three years. This is open to both EU and overseas candidates and is intended to contribute to fees and living expenses. Candidates commencing their study in any area of OR in autumn 2008 are eligible to apply. The group's interests and potential areas of supervision include both hard and soft OR methods and models such as optimization, simulation, decision and efficiency analysis, soft and strategic OR. The deadline for applications for the bursary is 10 March 2008. There is no separate form to complete. All candidates should apply before the above deadline in a normal fashion for a place on the doctoral programme at Warwick Business School. The bursary will be awarded taking into account the academic and relevant practical experience of the candidates, quality of their research proposal, motivation and research potential. Our decision will be communicated to the candidates by the end of March 2008.
